Parishes maintain Hazard Mitigation Plans to meet federal requirements of Title 44 Code of Regulations (CFR) ยง201.6 for approval and eligibility to apply for FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance grant programs. Approved Parish Hazard Mitigation Plans will allow for distribution of Hazard Mitigation funding following future disasters.
